Wested Pre Distressed Hide

I emailed Peter at Wested about what type of material the pre distressed jacket I got was and he said it was a lamb hide. I weighed the jacket and it weighs just under 3 lbs. If the new finish jacket is made from lambskin then it must be like wearing a heavy shirt. I can't imagine wearing a jacket much lighter than the one I got. My wife is trying to talk me into getting another one so she can have the one I just got so I think I might try one in the non distressed finish just to see the difference.
