I just felt I had to throw in my two cents. Peter led me down the "lamb hide" path last year. The truth is, the predistressed jacket is cowhide, albiet tanned witha "soft-touch lamb finish". It is not lamb, and therefore weighs about twice as much as the lambskin jacket you get when you order new finish. I own both jackets and can attest to the difference in materials and weight. Both are great, but the predistressed is not made from ANY part of the lamb - its all cow.
