Actually, we're excavating a Navive American (probably Cherokee) settlement area. It's definately a big job, considering we have 3 sites in the area and we are supposed to be done sometime in April 2001. As for "significant discoveries", all of the artifacts and features we find are significant in some way or another. Most of the stuff hasn't been taken to the lab to be processed yet, so I'm not sure about anything major being discovered at this moment. Well, off to class I go.

: I saw that archealogical dig on my vacation in the Smoky Mountains, and wondered if there might be any other Indy fans in the area! It's quite an undertaking, and I don't wonder that it will be taking up so much of your time. Have you or the team made any significant discoveries, and what drew such interest in that particular area around Townsend?
