As far as his age is concerned it doesn't matter as long as the time period the movie is set in matches Indy's age.
Harrison Ford does need to get back to doing action roles, he's losing his male audience and catering to middle-aged female fans. Since I am only 20 years old it is very disturbing for me to see a father-figure like Ford having rough sex in a car.
