Holster Question

Earlier Canadiana posted that his Kepler holster was stiff and light in color. My Noel Howard is the same. In fact it looks a little too brand new for an Indy costume. Not to say Noel's holsters aren't good. There terrific in fact. I was just wondering if there's anyway to soften up the holster and also give it a somewhat darker and worn look?
