CAV vs. CLV Indy laserdiscs

I'm investigating laserdisc copies of the Indy films right now as an alternative to DVD.

What I am curious about is, is the freeze framing possible with CAV discs worth the money they get for them? I am an Indygear nut, so the freeze frame capability would be an important reason for me to get a laserdisc player.
