The CAV would definitly be better as you get Zero freeze frame with CLV. The CAV has perfect freeze frame, the same as DVD. The problem is that you need more discs, so you will be flipping them even more. That is why laserdiscs are going the way of the dinosaur and I am all for it, even though I have about 30 laserdiscs including all the Indiana Jones and Star Wars films.
