: Attention, Indiana Jones fans! I have discovered a new site that sells authentic fedoras (i.e. they don't sell them off as Indy's hat). If you're interested, go to www.thehatbox.com. It's a site for a hat store in my hometown of Austin, Texas called The Hat Box. What's best is that the hats won't cost you an arm and leg. Look in the Recreational and Men's Fall sections. Let me know if these hats suite you.

Looked at the site, Mack, and the fedora looked pretty good for the price, though I'm not a big fan of wool felt. J. C. Penny offers one just about exactly like the one shown in wool felt for about $25.00 in their usual fall lineup, or at least they have for the past 3 years or so, that is made in Pennsylvania, and is a pretty darn nice hat for kicking around in. My kids bought me one about 3 years ago for when I'm messing around in the yard during fall year cleanup. Only problem I had was with the ribbon. It's to narrow, and even that' not the real problem. The first time it gets wet, it shrinks, and the hat becomes VERY uncomfortable to wear. I finall had to cut the ribbon off to make the hat wearable again. Anyway, if you're looking for an unlined wool fedora, and can find one of the J. C. Penny hats, I actually can personally recommend it for wear. It's REALLY waterproof, and retains it's shape no matter how badly it's mauled. And like I said, $25.00 was the surprising price, though I'm sure it's probably gone up some by now. Regards. Michaelson
