: The model 27 is also a bit rarer in the correct 4" bbl. length. For most of i'ts run barrel lengths were offered as standard in 3-1/2", 5", 6-1/2", and 8-3/8, with the 4" being standardized much later in production. I'm working from memory here, but check the Roy Jenks book. Dr.Brody
