So Star Wars isn't considered a trilogy anymore, not even Eps. IV-VI, huh. And I'll have to agree with you, Brett, on all the "despites." They're so stupid and unecessary. I guess Maxim feels it has to find a way to be cynical SOMEHOW, in one way or another. They mention TEMPLE OF DOOM as if it were a defect in the trilogy. Some may feel this way, but who among real fans of the trilogy finds anything really wrong with it? And also the one about the last two BACK TO THE FUTURE movies. Why would it be put down as one the great trilogies at all if they think people can't stand 2-thirds of it?

Anywho, it seems almost as if the trilogy is becoming an extinct thing. They made THE PHANTOM MENACE (of course, they'd planned to from the beginning), LETHAL WEAPON 4, and, of course, they're gonna make INDY 4 (and believe, they're going to). THE GODFATHER, BTTF and DIE HARD may be all that's left. Oh, well...
