Indy IV Speculation

I'm only fooling around with ideas on Indy IV, but I've got (what at
least I think to be) a rather interesting one. It's Indy's eye patch. I think that if Lucas decides to use it, he should already have it when the film starts and leave the audience (or some future novel) to speculate on what happened.

Anyone agree/disagree?
