FOR ONE THING MY ENTIRE FAMILY FROM DIFFERENT STATES AGREED NOT TO SEE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN!!

It's ok to be against violence, and to not promote it in the theater. But Saving Pvt Ryan isn't your everyday Hollywood violence. It's not cool, glamorous, or even stimulating. It defiles violence of glamor and makes you hope a war of that magnitude never happens again. Watch all the specials on TV about the movie and see what all the WWII vets have to say about it. They LOVE it. The movie will dawn a whole new respect for people who fought in any war. Those were brave, brave men who went through something very aweful. Choosing to not see the movie is choosing to keep those blind folds on your eyes.
