: : : I have a Noel Howard holster from Raiders (about $90!!)and an I.M.I. reproduction British holster for my Webley, which is exactly like the one carried in Last Crusade (and it's only around $30.)

: : I have one of the IMA holsters, and when it is on a belt, the barrel points diagonally to the rear. If the belt loop was sewn on at a different angle, it would be a good substitute.

: Yes, yes, I meant I.M.A. They were made to be worn cross-draw. I had a shoe repair guy move the belt loop on the back so the holster hangs more naturally. I think he charged $5 and did it in less than an hour while I ate lunch.

That's good to know. The leather on the belt loop seems a little thin. Did you replace it with heavier material? And what about the feature that lets you put it on a belt without removing the belt? Did you keep that or take it off? It seems a little useless.

Also, that particular holster design was orignially meant to be worn with a British "Sam Brown" belt and shoulder strap. That was the proper angle at which they were worn. It always seemed a little awkward to use.
