This hat will spring back pretty good. Some of my daughter's friends kncocked mine off the hat tree and apparently stepped on it in the process. The top was pushed in pretty severely. After calming myself down, I punched it back out with no damage. Really though, the crown isn't nearly as stiff as the brim, so this shouldn't be a problem. Regards, steve
