: Really, the crown's not that stiff, just the brim. After my Miller got rained on and lost it's initial stiffness, I got brave and wadded it up and it pretty much straightened right out again. the felt on the Peters Brothers hat is twice as thick as the Miller so I wouldn't let that concern you. Indy always puts his hat on a table, not a chair. Hmmmm...maybe someone could ghost write an Indiana Jones Do's and Don'ts for Adventurers Handbook.
