Striped Camel in the Desert and Some Melting Heads.

In the desert chase there is a striped camel in the part where you see an outside shot of the truck being recklessly driven by indy, who is boxing with the driver. Whats with that???
and...... Does anyone know of any resource, book, or web site where i can learn how they did the melting heads???
