While I don't have face to face experience with Mr. Swayles, I have to say that this doesn't equate to my experience with him. There must be more to the story. Maybe your contact didn't shown enough respect and Swayles shortchanged the "whipper snapper" by making a hasty cut and responding gruffly to him later. While my edges aren't die-cut sharp, they aren't crooked by any means. And MY bow is just what I asked for as see on the Raiders hat. I described EXACTLY what I wanted it to look like. There's always more to the story than people perceive/care/or want to relate.
I'd get another HJ in the future. And where does everybody get this $300 figure?
