From what I've been hearing, it sounds like Herbert Johnson is just coasting on their name. If you live in the U.S.A. I think it makes much more sense with a Peters Bros- although I personally don't own either so I can't compare, but Peters Bros seems to be bending over backward to create an authentic hat for us. If I had a wad of cash to blow on a hat right now, that's what I'd get. On the other hand, If you are hung up on the "name", then get a Herbert Johnson.
