Saving Private Ryan: Entertainment for Americans protecting America in the Persian Gulf

If Saving Private Ryan got you thinking about war, don't forget that over 10,000
American men and women remain in the Persian Gulf protecting and defending
America.

As a way to say thank you, Congressman Vito Fossella (New York, 13th
Congressional District) is kicking-off an historic, first of it's kind drive to secure
money to send a top performer to entertain American troops stationed in the
Middle East.

Fossella wants the concert to be "a thank you present from the American people"
and is asking that we all donate as a little as $1 for the event. People can make
contributions by calling (718)-351-5187 or can mail them directly to P.O. Box
060248, Staten Island, New York 10306. Checks should be made payable to the
USO/Fossella Holiday Tour. All contributions are tax-deductible. Every dollar
raised will go toward the concert.

Among the acts Fossella has asked the USO to contact are Jay Leno, Jerry
Seinfeld, Bruce Spingsteen, Pearl Jam, Billy Joel, and Garth Brooks. A final
selection will be made later this year.
