I'm glad somebody else noticed this. In Raiders, Marcus came across as sort of an older Indy. He even says he would have gone after the ark himself if he was younger.
And yet he's pictured in Crusade as a bumbling curator. I didn't care for that at all, because I loved the Marcus character in Raiders.
I, too, kind of wished they kept to the character in Raiders.
