In Reply to: Isn't it funny when you think you put a bombshell out there and you get "zippo", but a thread about HF's socks will generate a couple dozen responses? Gee, I sound like Andy Rooney...(nm) posted by Patterson on August 25, 2000 at 14:50:48:

: : Good news and bad news.

: : One of the intended providers just called me. They have the prototype in hand, but don't feel there is going to be enough demand to support going in this direction. Frankly, I agree and am a bit relieved for this instance in particular.

: : The manufacturer was US Wings. If they had gone this way, I know they would have made a beautiful jacket, but the fan would have been left out in the cold if they had ever wanted to get the closest thing to the Temple of Doom jacket that's ever been out there. David Hack tells me they're going to stay the course with their current jacket, and I support his decision.

: : The other manufacturer is very excited about how this is working out. Soon we'll be able to choose from accurate versions of each of the three jackets. Peter for the LC, David for the ToD, and "cannot yet say" for the RotLA.

: : Good stuff all around!

: : Cheers!
