When I compare my new lambskin Wested to my goatskin A-2, there is a distinct difference in the size of the "pebbling", if that is even the proper word. The pebbles on the lambskin are smaller , while the goatskin has larger pebbles. While the original Indy jackets were made of lambskin, I personally think the goatskin would look really good, but not authenic of course. If this new jacket pans out, I would love to have one in goatskin, mainly because of the reported toughness of this leather. Regards, Fedora
