Although I am generally pleased with my Indy Miller, I have to say that it has a slight taper. Slight, but enough to look more TOD than RotLA. I cut the brim myself (it really improves the hat's look) but I made a pattern prior to that. It's really easier to cut the felt using a pattern and I'd recommend the technique to anyone. Just my 2 cents.
