While I'm flattered, I do have to point out that the only reason I seem to be making the most noise about the jacket is because I was the particular one that saw the actual original jacket.

On the length - the jacket should come to rest just at or slightly below the top of your rear pockets on a pair of jeans. It's really not a waist coat.
