I AM, however, full of dumb questions about them!

Why are whips priced in such a wide range? Obviously quality is a big issue, but how so? Is it the number of plaits [sp?], or the quality of what it's made up of? How come I can get an Infernal Machine promo whip on eBay for five bucks, but have to shell out hundreds for a David Morgan? [Well, okay, I realize as far as the makeup goes, you're comparing kangaroo leather to rat skin, but besides that! :) ]

Any insight?
