I just popped in Raiders of the Lost Ark to watch tonight, and while it was rewinding [sigh--it would be so much easier to just pop in a DVD], I stumbled upon the Travel Channel [this was 8:00 Central time], and golly gee, what did I find there, but an hour-long presentation of a search for the "real" ark of the covenant!

It's amazing to watch and see the similarities between the Raiders ark and the "real" one. It was apparent that Lucas, Spielberg, and crew really did their homework for the film!

The show was a very interesting [but also very speculative] piece of television. For those that may want to ask the Travel Channel about getting a copy of the show, it is part of a series entitled "Travel Channel Presents."

Hey, it got my recommendation, so it must be good, right?
