The crown on my Peters Brothers is right at 6 inches. With the 7 5/8 size, it has just the right "Raiders" look. Also, if you are fairly broad through the shoulders, push the dimensions out on the brim a bit. Mine were 2 7/8 front and back, with 2 3/4 on the sides.

The only thing I'd change would be the ribbon width. With the taller crown, go with something a bit wider then the conventional 39mm. I'm also thinking that going with straight black may be the way to go as well on the ribbon.
