Leonard was the one who actually did the "going from the grill, under the truck, grabbing the whip, and leting go to be dragged" gag. Ford put on all the gear, laid on his belly holding onto a whip, and was dragged around until they had the footage they needed. Both were performed at the same speed for continuity (20 mph, I believe?).
