Color variances in the PB fedora

I just happened to sit my 2 PB fedoras side by side last night to compare. This new one I ordered with a 5 7/8 open crown and it was indeed a little taller than my first one which was supposed to be this height , but Joe sent a 5 5/8 instead. Both were styled identical. The only thing that really stood out was the color. I have already posted that my first hat, while listed as mink, was really not the same as the Miller or Stetson mink. It didn't have the red in it that these other mink colors have. Well, this new fedora is indeed close to the Miller and Stetson in color. A little red in it. Truthfully, I prefer the color on the first hat. I guess he got in a new shipment, and the colors varied. I have not queried him on this, and probably won't. Just thought I'd pass this on to the hat nuts . Regards, Fedora
