What amazes me is that we as society in general know so much about the history of WWII yet we don't have a clue about hitler being really dead or not. What shred of evidence actually supports that he died in WWII?

Here's my recreation of the discovery of Hitler's body.

"We found a charred beyond recognition corpse under a pile of other
corpses"
"It must be Hitler!"
"You sure?"
"Oh yeah. Hiding under flaming corpses... It sounds JUST like something he'd do!"
"Ok sounds good to me. Let's pee on him, and bury his body headless over there."
"Good idea! We're heros! Now what're we going to do with this head?"
"Let's give it to the Russians as a souvenier."
"Ok but don't tell ANYONE!"
"We'll just tell em where we buried the body but not where the head is?"
"No don't tell anyone that either."
"Oh. Ok. Good idea!"
