I have the new finish cowhide. It has more of a pebble texture than the lambskin jackets I've seen. It's soft, meaning that it bends easily. It has a more substantial feel to it. If you've ever had a leather jacket before, this is the weight you would expect. My seams line up in back the way they should however the pleat is only about an inch deep. When I wear the jacket, the pleat stands out on both sides as if I'm reaching forward with my arms. I'll let you know when the FS jacket arrives for a good comparison on these features.
