WESTED alteration question....

You guys were right; after wearing the jacket for a while the bi-swing pleats fold open and lay badly. Some one had mentioned that the Disney jacket had elastic across the back to prevent this and I believe someone else had even altered their Wested in this way. What is the proper placement of the elastic? Hope some one can stear me in the right direction, I'm kinda lost on this one.
