: After watching the movies again and various pics. I still don't believe in the dimensional cut. It just doesnt look like a true Indy hat to me. What persuaded some of you into this version of the Indy fedora?

What persuaded me was buying hats that didn't have the dimensional cut, and then doing the cut to discover that it looked right. If you watch old movies, there are scores of fedoras that just have the round brims, and they look markedly different to my eyes when compared to Indy's fedora. Sometimes the dimensional cut on his fedora seems to be a bit too severe, like the scene from TLC in Henry Jones' house. The sides are turned up, and boy do they look short when compared with the front and back of the hat. Apparently, there were variations in his hats used in the films. Regards, Fedora
