: After Elsa trys to cross the Seal with the grail and the whole joint starts to fall apart, we see the Grail Knight who has come out from the depths of the temple to see what all the ruckuss is about. He high fives Indy as they all flee leaving the Knight behind to die. Now what I want to know is why that Knight wasn't jumping up and down screaming - "You idiot!! I can't leave you with the grail for 2 minutes without you causing a bunch of $#!% and wrecking my place."

: I would've.;-)

As they say, great minds think alike... I smiled when I saw your post; I had made the same observation not long before. Here's my take on it:

Just caught the end of "Last Crusade" again and was struck by
the same thought I had the first time I saw it in the theater. The
poor knight has been reading that same book for 700 years,
waiting for someone to come spell him. Enter this trio of arguing
oddballs who wreck the place, drop the grail into a crevice and
bugger off.

So, did the knight have divine help to retrieve the grail, rebuild the
place, maybe dust a little? Is the grail still there, secure in its
own way as the ark? Is the knight still waiting for someone to
come watch over the grail?

Your serve,
Tim (who hates to sound critical of Indy, but really...)
