Honestly Greg...I say No. and I really shouldn't have to explain, but I will
briefly. This isn't James Bond or Mission Impossible or The Fugitive.
It's a character so unique and genuine that once it's gone, it's gone.
Lucas wouldn't have it (hence his discontinuation after Star Wars..no more
3 movies AFTER ROTJ, and nobody will ever make those films because it's Lucas's)

I'm a huge huge fan of Indy....Always have been..always will be..and
I would be content if there will never be another film..Oh yeah,
I probably will slam my head in my car door with excitement when
production begins, but until then, I won't cry over spilt milk, I'll
be thankful that we have such great films that will never age.

Hell I've even considered through a pen at an Indy script (i already
work in film so that parts taken care of) but when it comes to Indy..
It has to be perfect....it HAS to...you can't half ass it... A trilogy so
beautiful....You have to be 300% certain the script is as powerful
as the last 3..and the characters are as strong....(not replaced) Nobody could
be marcus brody.......and nobody could be Indy. (unless he's young like R. Phoenix was)
We shouldn't ruin a good series with a scene of a T-rex walking through
San Diego....Wrong series, but similar situation...(sorry Steven, I know
it was your idea...do not 'not' hire me because of that one.)

yeah, okay, this isn't a brief explanation, but it's a good point...it truley is.
