it's just an honest approach. We can't kid ourselves over the situation.

let's try to put it into perspective.
Say Lucas decided on making the final 3 star wars films. Would we want to see
someone other than Ford play Hans Solo? Mark Hammel as Luke? Carrie Fisher.
etc. You get the point? Those are classic movies along the same lines
as Indy. They aren't movies you just replace characters with new faces.
Nobody on Earth could say "oh sh*t" the way Ford does on that bridge in
TOD..or "ha ha ha, son of a " in the Well of Souls.

That said...James Bond... yeah, nobody says "bond, james bond" like
Connery..but James Bond is NOT Indiana Jones.. Shaft..sure, nobody says
"ya damn right" like the original...but once again..Not Jones. Jones
is special...only because of Ford! I honestly believe we wouldn't care
for Indy as much had Selleck not decided on Magnum P.I. It would be another
80's (big trouble, little china, romancing the stone) type flick. To add to my
point..had it not been Ford that day with the upset stomach, we would
actually have a fighting scene instead of a quick draw, shoot and kill.

Indy is Indy because of Ford. The movies stories are perfect because
of the crew. You clone Ford....you make more movies... You clone
sheep..well, you can make nice Indy jackets, but please don't put them
on future Indy moviemakers who attempt to simulate art.
