: I AM NOT GOING TO SEE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN BECAUSE IT IS TOOOOOOOO VIOLENT AND I THINK THAT MATT DAMON AND HIS FRIEND BEN AFFLECK ARE TRYING TO GET ALL THE ATTENTION AWAY FROM LEONARDO DICAPRIO. BILLIONS OF GIRLS LOVE LEO. HE STOLE MILLIONS OF FANS HEARTS AWAY FROM HIS INCREDIBLE PERFOMANCE IN TITANIC (THE #1 MOVIE IN THIS PLANET) SAVING PRIVATE RYAN SUCKS AND MY GRANDPA WAS IN WWII AND I BELIEVE WHAT MY MOM SAYS. HE WAS PROTECTING HIS COUNTRY. BUT THE MOVIE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REAL THING! I DONT THINK IT SHOULD GET AND NOMINATIONS FOR ANY KIND OF AWARD. THE MOVIE TITANIC CAPTURED PEOPLES HEARTS. SAVING PRIVATE RYAN IS GOING TO CAPTURE NIGHTMARES. DONT SEE IT IF YOU DONT WANT TO WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. FOR ONE THING MY ENTIRE FAMILY FROM DIFFERENT STATES AGREED NOT TO SEE SAVING PRIVATE RYAN!!

You say that Saving Private Ryan has nothing to do with the real thing, well I'm telling you now that it has pleanty to do with the real thing. I am a World War II Veteran, I faught for my country beside many brave soldiers, many that died for it. I saw Saving Private Ryan and I am telling you, that is about as close to war as you can get without the risk of death. Yes it brought back memories of war, memories of loved friends that were killed in front of my eyes, but it also reminded be of what they died for, they died to help their country and to help the entire planet and to me that is the most heroic way to possibly die.
I stumbled on your letter and it makes me so angry that you have so little respect all of the people that died durring World War II. You say that your Grandfather is a WWII Veteran, that should make you have even more respect for us. I think that Mr. Spielberg was trying to show war the way it was and he did an exelent job of it.
Saving Private Ryan did expose the brutality of war but did it to the perfect extent and you would not get the same effect from it if it didn't.
I also saw Titanic which I did not enjoy one bit. Maybe if the love story of Titanic was true I might have enjoyed it but it wasn't and the people on the Titanic did not die to protect anything or to help anyone. And I really don't think that Titanic and Saving Private Ryan should be compared with each other, they are two completly different movies.
If you have any feelings for the brave men that faught and died durring World War II you will go see Saving Private Ryan and write an immediate apology for your disrespectful letter. And if you are not just some stupid confused teenager that only cares about yourself send me an E-Mail apologizing personally, and apologize to your Grandfather as well.
