What about an animated series?

What does everyone think of an animated Indiana Jones television series?

I'm not positive but I could swear I read in an interview with George Lucas that he DIDN'T want to make an animated series because he wanted the stories to based on "real" myths. He didn't want to make anything up. That's all I remember though.

But there are so many ancient myths that could fit into an Indiana Jones adventure. I think this would be a great step after the fourth film. With the success of Batman and Superman as animated series, it shows quality can be done with iconic material. Being able to see Indiana Jones continue his adventures in some form of moving entertainment (sure books and comics are nice but I want to see and hear them too!) This would also immortalize Indiana Jones. He doesn't have to get any older. They could be adventures that squeeze in somewhere before the fourth film and after Temple of Doom.

The stories are there. It just takes a little research to develop it and do it right. Just a thought.
