I run into archaeologists on an almost daily basis, and I've found you'll need to follow these basic rules:
1. Don't wash your clothes more than twice a month.
2. Feel free not to shave for, oh, let's say eight years.
3. Become very attached to certain books.
4. Become very territorial when someone asks to take a look at said books.
5. Develop a good sense of humor (you never know when you'll run into a smart-ass museum researcher like me!)
