As many of you fondly recall, Indy once had to hitch a ride on a German U-boat in order to save Marion or something. So whatever became of the U-26 you may ask? Look no further for the answer, enfants, because an extremely bored museum researcher has found out. It pays to have a desk right next to the Jane's Fighting Ships, no? Anyhow, it seems that the U-26 went down off of the SW coast of Ireland on July 1, 1940. Hmmm...wasn't that someone's birthday? Anyhow, the credit for the kill went to the RAAF and the HMS Gladiolus. So let's hear it for the brave men (and now women, too) of the Royal Navy!
