death scenes at end of Raiders

i was visiting a movie website and they have a section about alternatve versions for ROTL, and it says:

"In the German TV-version we don't see Dietrich and Gobler's death sequence, the sequence where the Nazis bore through by the flashes is shorter and we don't see how Farah dies."

A couple questions about this: we never did actually see Gobler's death sequence in the first place, we just assume he was one of the Nazis killed at the end, right? And also, who the heck is Farah?
