This is a mistake made by nearly every replica Flying Tiger jacket. This jacket has elements of an authentic AVG jacket, mainly the 1st pursuit emblem from the "Adam and Eves" Unfortunately, they incorporate elements from the 14th Air Force which took over AFTER the Flying Tigers were officially disbanded. They called themselves the Flying Tigers as well, and had Chenault as their leader, but this is not the same thing.

So I have a problem with this kind of jacket. Now if the called it a 144th air force Flying Tiger jacket, that would be a different thing. Bottom line, the markings and patches on that jacket DID NOT EXIST during the AVG's time from December 41 to June 42, with the exception of the blood chit, and the 1st Pursuit emblem. There is no disputing this. I reccomend "The Pictorial History of the Flying Tigers" by Larry Pistole for real examples.
