What he hell - OK - I'll play this game for a minute. When you put out misinformation, or at best "jumbled truths", you open yourself up to criticism. Count yourself lucky if it is tempered with humor. Responding with "I'm sorry and I'll never do it again" works when you're 5 - and only once or twice. An adult values their integrity too much to let pride get in the way. Whether rightfully or wrongfully, you've been associated with this mess. Figure out how to fix it, and you'll have gained some respect.
