It may be because I am not a US citzen but I would dare to say that Indy is not at all a true-blooded American. With his great multi-cultural experience and knowledge he is far above all that.
(Sorry, I have just read another article about the knowledge of Mr. Bush - European papers make fun of him because he does not even know the most important coutries - so never mind...)

: Ok, I'm really NOT trying to antagonize anyone here, nor do I want to revive the political acrimony that has appeared...
: BUT, I wonder if there's anything in the so-called Indy Canon (films, books, etc.) that might be suggestive of Indy's political leanings?
: Of course we all know he kicked Nazi booty, and was a true-blooded American, etc., but is there anything else?
: This question might appeal to those here more conversant with this canon.
: Arguments for a particular party/ideology should be based on more explicit and specific remarks than, for example, "Indy loved America, therefore he was a Republican/Democrat/Communist/Martian".
: Again, I'm just curious if there's any hint in Indy lore.
: Let's all be even-keeled and civil, and thank you for your vote.
