After breaking two cheap whips as a kid trying to swing from them my Grand mother said,"His was probably braided around a wire or a cable and was made so for that reason". I've spent my life entertaining that thought. Looking at that whip I wonder if maybe it isn't really a cast piece, perhaps of a heavy rubber or something with some kind of internal support as my Grandmother suggested. I know this sounds odd, but I've owned several whips over my life, some that I've beat to Hell, and I've never seen one do that, not even from shrinkage due to getting wet. I'd like to know what anyonf thinks of this notion.
