My Wested just ripped!!

I was just sticking my hands in the sidewarmer pocket, wasn't applying much pressure at all, when I felt a rip! I looked down, and waw that the lambskin had torn about a half inch right where the top of the pocket is attached to the body of the jacket. It tore on the jacket body itself. What the @#%??? I've had the jacket about a year, so was somehwhat upset. Well, I took it to my tailor, and he thinks he can fix it. Luckily, it was right along the pocket seam.

My main point is that it seems to be pretty flimsy leather to have torn so easily. I know we are taking about lambskin, which is more of a "dress" leather. Maybe it was just a defect in that one spot. At least that is what I am hoping. Oh well, this might just be my excuse to get the Flight Suits Expedition jacket.
