Seems like it's a food or drink slang term. Like "short stack" pancakes, or a round of drinks. I dunno.

In any case, it's main purpose is to illustrate the close relationship between "Docta Jones" and his young friend--two nicknames, Indy and Short Round [or Shorty, for that matter]. But that's the obvious part.

As for what the term actually refers to, well...I gave my thoughts on that above!

I'm infering from your address that you're a Minnesota dweller. Pleased to see a local on the forum!
