Don't get your knickers in a wad. To understand the personality and character of Indiana Jones, one must realize that Stephen Spielberg (ever heard of him?) and George Lucas were on vacation in Hawaii when Spielberg mentioned to Lucas that he wanted to make a James Bond film. Lucas told him not to worry about that, he had something better: a swashbuckling archaeologist who went on adventures retreiving supernatural artifacts. After the films came out, Lucas says people often asked him about the character's background--education, childhood and so forth. Therefore, what you naively term "Indy's life" is rationalized from the films, not the other way around. To operate on the assumption that George Lucas had this burning need to tell the world the Truths he had discovered in his investigation into the birth, childhood and young adulthood of one of his most lucrative franchise characters is to gullibly give undue credence to his sales pitch. Of course it's impossible to understand Indy's life by watching the 3 movies: that's because he doesn't have one. He's just a fictional character. Tell me something, have you ever kissed a girl? Get a life!
P.S. On the plus side, your spelling and grammar are excellent.
