Well, hear me correctly...I don't own a PB so I don't know exactly how stiff it is...My HJ's have never "worn out." By "wearing out," what do you mean? Do you mean "does the felt get soft and flexible?" Yes, it does. But if you mean does it wear through or "pill up", then no, I've never had that happen. I've owned a HJ for 4 years now and through sustained wear, have never had one "wear out" What do you plan on doing in this hat?
