It really depends on what you plan to do with the whip, they all have distinct advantages and disadvantages. I usually recommend going with an 8ft or 10ft bullwhip (leaning slightly towards 8ft) for more general use. Also it might be worth mentioning that American and Australian bullwhips are usually measured differently, the American bullwhips are measured including the fall where the measurement on the Australian designed excludes the fall.
